What is the effect if a person receives two types of vaccines? See new study.

Covid-19 Combined vaccination. The study was conducted in Spain. This is the first time such research has been conducted on Covid-19. The experiment was performed on 431 individuals with the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine and the Pfizer Biotech vaccine. Want to know what the outcome was? Researchers have found that when the combined vaccination system of the two vaccines is used, strong immunity to the SARS-Cov-2 virus is achieved.

This is the first study to bring out the benefits of using different Covid-19 vaccines in combination. A similar study in the UK found that combined vaccination was safe. But information about their immune system has not been released. It is thought that many countries suffering from a lack of vaccine dosages will benefit from the fact that first- and second-dose vaccines can be used differently. It is also hoped that this will address the shortcomings of using the same vaccine as a booster.

It is known that many European countries have started making such recommendations to ensure the safety of the vaccine. Those who took the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine as the first dose were expected to use another vaccine as the second dose to stimulate a stronger and more powerful immune response through the mix – and – match. Increasing the antibody production in those who received the first dose of the oxford vaccine. Experts say it’s amazing news that the Pfizer vaccine can be used as a booster dose.

Spanish researchers began such an experiment in April. The study was led by the Carlos III Health Institute in Madrid. The experiment, dubbed ‘CombivacS’, involved 663 people. They were the first to receive the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine. Oxford is a harmless chimpanzee adenovirus vector vaccine. Two-thirds of them were given the mRNA-based Pfizer vaccine two weeks later. The researchers say the remaining 232 have not yet been given a booster. Those who took the second dose of Pfizer had higher levels of antibodies, while those who did not receive the booster had lower antibody levels.

This is a so-called ‘heterozygous prime and boost’ immunization strategy that combines several vaccines. This method is often used against diseases such as Ebola. However, experts hope that the combined vaccine will help prevent the problems and shortcomings caused by the use of the same vaccine. The same vaccine was tested in combination in a study in the UK (Com – COV). It found that those who received both vaccines had slightly more common side effects, such as fever. We only have the results related to the vaccine safety of the UK trial.

In the Spanish study, the side effects were similar in both groups and less severe. Experiments with the new method, which combines several vaccines, are expected to help shape more effective prevention strategies in the future.
